Counseling Services for Students

Students,

As we begin this fall semester in a climate of continued uncertainty and mounting stresses, it is important to acknowledge the impact these times are having on each of our lives.  Being a college student can be stressful and challenging in the best of times, and we know these are not the best of times. We want to encourage you to reach out for help when you feel overwhelmed.  Your faculty and staff are here to support you. We also want you to be aware of professional counseling services available to students through our partnership with local behavioral health provider Mountain Comprehensive Care (MCC)

Counseling services are available on the College Drive Campus, Mondays 1:00-4:00pm and Thursdays, 9:00am-12:00pm in Room 156 of the main building (across from the bookstore).  Drop-ins are welcome if the counselor is not in a session, or you may call the MCC(606)833-2583 to schedule an appointment.  If you attend classes on a different campus, or the available times do not work with your class schedule, you can see a counselor at MCC’s Russell office location. All services are confidential.

If you wish to speak to someone immediately MCC provides a 24hr crisis helpline, which can be reached at 1-800-422-1060.

Don’t talk yourself out of asking for help, talk to someone who wants to help.
