Ashland Aesthetics Project

Armco Park by Janet Thompson, Phi Theta Kappa Advisor and Program Coordinator of Medical Information Technology

While many Ashland folk are familiar with Central Park downtown, another wonderful park resides within Boyd county and is full of interesting artifacts and walking trails.  It’s a common place for picnics, family reunions, celebrations and countless memories have been made here.  Among its impressive waling trails other features of Armco Park includes a newly added 14 foot tall statue of Sasquatch, a vintage AK Steel sign, and the Boyd County War Memorial.    Armco park is open year round for visitors, please take time to visit this special park either for a quick hike or peaceful drive and enjoy the unique architecture it contributes to our city. As an added bonus, Armco Park resides right beside another Ashland legend, Crisp’s Dairy Treat!
